VP Sales EMEA

Our client is leading the industry in the development of dynamic digital antenna embedded radio technology for wireless communications. Privately held with initial early success with the mobile equipment OEM’s the business now needs to recruit its first VP EMEA Sales to aggressively drive revenues into the OEM’s. In addition, he/she will be responsible for securing trials with operators.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure mobile infrastructure OEM agreements and Operator Trials to exceed revenue plan
  • Strategic planning including corporate and product positioning, competitive analysis, market segmentation and development and management of strategic partnerships
  • Work with the EVP WW Business Development/Marketing to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs
  • Assist product management with customer research for defining market and new product requirements
  • Interface with engineering for product development, product pricing and product lifecycle management
  • Manage multiple business initiatives in a start-up environment
  • Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required
  • Where appropriate, act as spokesperson for the company with press and analysts and at industry events

Experience and background:

  • 15+ years business development, and sales experience in the mobile infrastructure industries with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management position
  • Successful track record as Director/VP Sales building a startup from product definition, through operator trial and high-volume production ramp
  • Successful track record in the mobile infrastructure market (products, players and technologies)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels
  • Deep experience in structuring and negotiating large agreements
  • Demonstrated success in managing customer demands vs engineering constraints is a must
  • Has at least once, played a major role in defining and executing a Go-to-Market Strategy for a new product
  • Technical depth in mobile networks coupled with ability to handle senior customer contacts in mobile network industry is a must
  • Understand mobile network ecosystem (Operators – System OEMs – component suppliers)
