Our client is a market leading marketing services business providing consultancy and direct marketing solutions in Eastern and Central Europe to a host of international clients like Top Shop. Founded in 1992 it operates across 19 territories with customer contact centres and 600 customer care representatives fluent in 20 languages.

The CTO will be charged with devising and implementing the overall technology strategy to ensure the company is abreast of the latest online consumer technology trends.

The CTO will also be responsible for all aspects of the company’s IT operations and development.

The role has a number of broad dimensions:

  • Partner with outside organisations.
  • Plan for change, technology adaption and business transformation.
  • Be a visionary technologist.
  • Be an externally focused technologist – forward thinking, considering the potential of new and disruptive technologies.
  • Provide visible technology leadership within the company.
  • Lead the execution of technology strategy for platforms, partnerships and external relationships.

The candidate should have:

  • 10+ years of applications development and infrastructure management experience across multiple hardware and software platforms.
  • Strong background and domain experience in internal development and management of large scale transaction processing applications.  
  • The candidate will have worked in an entrepreneurial business environment where customer needs come first and where speed and action orientation are appreciated
  • Strong experience with Microsoft,  SAP or Oracle ERP solutions and a proven track record of success leading and managing execution of multiple simultaneous large projects and partnering to meet goals.
  • He/she will have the ability to function independently, but also as leader of high-performance work teams and groups, coupled with the skill to hire and motivate good people and create a productive environment that promotes initiative, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Track record of managing financial resources to meet goals and business objectives.
